Early Departure

Vista from the Grande View
Dr. K and I got off to a really early start on the Grand View Trail on a slightly cold morning in the Sacramento Mountains.  We encountered only two other people during our outing, a man and woman who were running in the opposite direction as we were heading back.

We had originally planned to stay in the mountains through today and leave tomorrow after a short hike, but due to an unexpected delivery of electronic items I had purchased through Amazon we had to return home.  This is the second time in a short period that Amazon has not honored my request to deliver at a later date.  I'm going to have to talk to them about this matter.

We had a pleasant three days in the High Rolls/Mountain Park area before heading back to the lower desert.

Nice photo of White Sands National PARK. This probably means there will be more tourists learning about the beauty of southern New Mexico.
