A Hot Dog and a Hotdog

Packrat and Becca on the trail
We're headed for the century mark today, peaking at 101 F later this afternoon.  It felt pretty bad already this morning, and about midway through a long trek I began wondering if I shouldn't have shortened it.  Becca was pretty hot (dogs get hotter than people do), but she took plenty of shade breaks; and I always carry enough water for the both of us.  Later this week our chances for precipitation go up significantly, but that means more moisture in the air and, therefore, more humidity.  When it's humid in the desert evaporative coolers don't work quite as efficiently; that's why many people have refrigerated air systems (air conditoners) or a combination of evaporative cooler/air conditioner in their homes.

What kind of pose is this?

A very hot morning

She takes shade breaks whenever she finds them

Again

Yet again
