No Payoff on Precip Promise

Clearer skies
Despite the angry skies in the late afternoon yesterday, the gusting winds and the cooler temperatures, we never got one drop of rain in this badly-parched desert.  None of the recording stations in southern New Mexico and West Texas registered any precipitation.  Disappointing.  This morning there was an abundance of people on the mountain, and Becca and I ran into mountain bikers, joggers, and two hikers with a beautiful--but shy--Black Lab.
