'Meh' Hike

Heading east on a road pointing west
Not much to note on our hike this morning.  We passed Mr. Tacoma on the trail, and he and I exchanged greetings.  While Becca and I hiked two-thirds of the way around the mountain Mr. Tacoma hiked to the top.  He was coming out of the foothills when we were climbing back up, but we didn't cross paths again.  Most people carrying packs around the mountain carry daypacks--like me--but the man pictured in the second image is carrying a backpack.  Generally this means that the person is preparing for an upcoming strenuous trip.
