The Crosscut Trail is nearly overgrown with Fall flowers

Fall flowers are supplanting those of early spring and late summer.  The bright green leaves of the Ocotillo have yellowed, turned brown and have dropped to the ground.  The morning temperatures are consistenly below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.  Dewpoints have dropped from the high-50s/mid-60s into the 30 degree range.  The new blue anorak I just bought from the Duluth Trading Company will soon come in handy.
