Thank you, Wind

Vista of the northern Chihuahuan Desert
I felt lucky this morning because a hot desert was made much more bearable by a constant wind.  I'd like to believe that the cooling wind had a somewhat similar benefit for Becca, but dogs don't sweat and, therefore, do not experience perspiration evaporating in the wind.  Canines cool themselves by panting and perspiring from their foot pads.  I sometimes wonder if wind across a dog's tongue and into its mouth and lungs would provide a similar evaporative-cooling process, though obviously in a far less efficient manner than in humans.

It's nice to see that the ocotillos are still green and lush (considering they're ocotillos).
