Brief Respite

From high foothills to low desert
It was quite cold this morning, but we're headed for a high of 62F.  The brief good-weather respite lasts only until this afternoon when the wind picks up in advance of a heavy cold front that will bring much cooler temperatures and a chance of rain and snow.  So more photos of the frosty Organ Mountains may be in the offing.

If that kestrel hangs around, you might be able to get closer to take photos. That's a beautiful bird.
