Warmup

Beyond the homes a temperature inversion below the Juarez Mountains
Although it was 26 degrees Fahrenheit when we first went outside this morning the desert felt quite warm by the time Becca and I got out to Tortugas Mountain later; in fact, I had to take off a layer of clothing halfway through our trek.  It was toasty enough for a group of us--Jimmy, JC, Olivia, Becca and me--to stand around shooting the breeze after we all got back to the Sunset Area trailhead.  Well, you know that Becca wasn't shooting the breeze, she was barking it.

Packrat: Cool and windy here in the northern Piedmont today, with a high temperature right about normal (49 F). We're supposed to have temperatures in the low- to mid-50s and lots of sunshine each day for the next week--which is just fine by me!
