Low Desert to High

In the low desert under cloudy skies
Becca and I took a quick, early-morning hike then got back home to finish getting ready for our trip to the high country.  We got up to our place in High Rolls (Sacramento Mountains), New Mexico a little after noon.  Not long after we got out of the car we were greeted by Champ, Cowboy and the new puppy, the latter of the three a constant irritant to Becca; though when we ran into the puppy later in the afternoon Becca seemed to warm to her a bit.  The Verbena-like plant blooming on our property is one we've never seen before.

That's a beautiful photo of the verbena, Packrat. It's nice to be up in the mountains with you and Becca.
