A Good Rain

After the rain:  hemorrhoid clouds
Becca and I got sprinkled upon only briefly on our long hike this morning, but we stayed completely dry (we were in the house) yesterday late afternoon when we had quite a drenching downpour.  It provided much-needed relief from the oppressive heat.  When I let Becca out at 6:30 for her early-evening bathroom break our garage felt like the inside of an oven, but outside the air was cool--almost chilly--and fragrant with the smell of rain.  Our morning trek today was very pleasant because of the constant overcast.  We have a chance of precipitation again this afternoon.  Keeping our fingers (and toes) crossed.

The clouds yesterday after the storm were so unique--I've never seen that cotton-ball shape before.
