A Day Like Today

This & next:  sun through overcast sky
Chilly, windy and overcast:  three elements that made this morning's hike less than pleasant.  Nevertheless, Willow, Frio and I did our almost normal trek, cutting out our trip up the left branch of the new arroyo due to weather conditions.

The only people we saw today was a group of three bikers heading first up Tellbrook and then heading down.  Both Frio and Willow were interested in them even though they were nowhere near us.

We had an OK outing today, though I feel pretty certain all three of us amigos were happy to get back to the CR-V to make our way home.

Long view of Tortugas and the Organs

Soaptrees and the Organs

Looking back up the arroyo we headed down

Prickly Pear and Soaptree Yuccas

Heelers headed down the arroyo that parallels LDR-A

Another distant view of the mountains

Hill west of the Organs

Yucca and sun

I think I prefer the first of these two

Willow and Frio

Best sun shot?
