Amigos del Desierto

Ice crystals on car windshield look like birds scattering
The three amigos set off on a morning hike early, and the temperature was a cold 24F at start.  It had warmed to 34F by the time we got back to the CR-V.

In the meantime we trekked down LDR-A arroyo, went right on the east/west cross trail, climbed partially up the Left Branch Arroyo, went back to the intersection with the right branch, and then hiked it into its head and out on the steep hill just east of the upper flatland road.

All involved in today's outing had a good time; I had an especially nice time because both Frio and Willow were very well behaved.

Amazing photos of the ice crystals on the windshield. Reminded me of birds taking flight at Bosque del Apache wildlife refuge.
