Extra-Long Trek

Straight up the mountain
It was a beautiful morning on the trail.  Becca and I started off from the Sunset Parkng area, hiked to the single-track path that wends its way along the foothills beside the road to the top of the mountain, then dropped down onto the loop road around the mountain.  A worker in a bulldozer was doing some road work on the mountain, and Becca was quite concerned about the machine.  She got over it, though, as soon as we took the outer loop road into the outback, where she was content searching for desert critters.
