Grey to Blue

Cool, grey skies
It was quite cold when we started off this morning, and it didn't warm significantly during our trek.  The black windbreaker I donned at the beginning was still on when we finished our long hike on Tortugas's west side. We ran into Greg, who was quite talkative.  He has recently retired to Las Cruces from Louisiana, where he worked for thirty years.  He's only been in the area for seven months, but he likes it a lot.  "Low humidity and little rain," he said.  I didn't bother bringing up the issue of long-term drought.
