Another Blast Furnace Day

When Dr. K, Becca and I headed out from the Monte Vista parking area this morning it seemed as if it might be a bit cooler for our hike.  The feeling didn't last.  By the time we got around back of Tortugas Mountain it was clear that we were in for another hot day.  There was an intermittent breeze to cool us down on occasion, but mostly it just felt stifling out there.  A change is in the offing, though, temperatures in the 80s for all of next week with a strong chance of rain.  We're hoping the weather forecasters aren't wrong, because we can use the precipitation.
