Paying for Yesterday's Respite

A crowded lot at the Sunset Parking area
Late afternoon yesterday we got a nice rainfall that only slight quenched our need for precipitation here in the Chihuahuan Desert.  What the storm accomplished, though, was to put more moisture into the air, resulting in a tortured hike for Becca and me this morning.  You know how it feels when the sun comes out and beats down on your body when the humidity and dewpoint are high.  That's what we had to deal with on the trek.  Funny, though, there were lots of other outdoorspersons dealing with the same issue.

No wonder you didn't take that many photos.

Sounds like Philadelphia--all summer! And especially this year. One more day of dry here in San Diego, then back to the "soup" tomorrow.
