Thanks to the Wind

Tortugas Mountain from the west
Due to a strong, consistent wind we didn't suffer as much as we did yesterday.  It was still hot, though, 80 F, 56-degree dewpoint when we started off (the same as yesterday if I'm recalling correctly).  But the wind created good evaporative cooling, and I didn't have to mop my brow every two steps.  When we arrived at the Sunset Parking area before our trek we were surprised to see several vanloads of people from the local university heading up the mountain.  They were all gone by the time we finished our hike.

I'm glad that wind made for a better hike for both of you.
