Trail heading west from Tortugas (Tortoise) Mountain |
Underside of a dislodged Mexican Gold Poppy |
Abundant flora in a patch of high desert |
Claret Cup Hedgehog Cactus |
Torrey Yuccas west of the Tortoise |
Say's Phoebe |
Rolling desert west of the mountains |
I've discovered this cross in a remote section of desert before |
Somebody has fashioned a labyrinth in the same area |
Composed of white rock the cross is about 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 feet |
This is the area where the cross and labyrinth are located |
Houses at the edge of the desert |
Power to nowhere: the lineman school grounds |
The unhappiest hiker in our household |
