More Rain

What doves do (computer-enhanced photo)
Early evening yesterday, and again when I was retiring for the night at 10:30, we got some good rain.  The earlier rain storm was accompanied by thunder, the sound of which has upset Becca more and more in recent years, so much so that I bought her a Thundershirt recently.  It's a snug-fitting t-shirt-like piece of apparel that seems to lessen canine anxieties.  I'm not sure, exactly, how or why it works, but it does diminish Becca's fear of the thunder noticeably.  Funnily enough, if we're outside when it's thundering she seems oblivious to the rumbling.  There was no thunder on our morning trek west of Tortugas Mountain today, just very high humidity from last night's storms.
What Becca loves to do:  hike

Sunshine breaking over the mountain

Searching for other sentient life forms

Sun washing over the desert

Not listed in Fodor's

Long way to Bishop Cap

"Stoned" teenage Ocotillo

Hills west of the mountain

Bad luck photographing a Lesser Nighthawk in flight

Ocotillo and observatory

Wing power/wind power

Rife with thorny life

I really like the first photo of the doves--nice impressionistic style.
