Fierce Winds

Weather conditions at the start of our hike
It rained on and off during the night, and it was raining when we got up this morning.  It had stopped by the time Becca and I set off for Tortugas Mountain, but we did get sprinkled upon during our trek.  We also got to experience--about two-thirds of the way through our excursion--the strong, cold winds that will make today miserable.  Local meteorologist Doppler Dave (KVIA El Paso) has predicted "fierce winds" for the afternoon hours.  Can't wait.

The weather was a lot better in Washington DC, where I was for the march, than here in the desert in Las Cruces.
