Around Our Place

Fallen dead tree
Dr. K and I decided to limit our hiking activity to a trail around our place this morning; Willow and Frio were not disappointed.

We explored a deer/elk trail that leads south away from our cabin, one that skirts around the mountainside at a fairly level grade.  There are a few ups and downs, but Dr. K's knee took the strenuous sections in stride because she used a lightweight hiking stick we bought in Big Bend NP decades ago.

It was a bit chilly from overcast sky when we started out, but we'd warmed significantly by the time we finished.
