First 3: Heelers
|
We're headed for 99F today, and brother did it feel like that this morning. Willow, Frio and I were all pretty hot, and you can see from these images that they took opportunities to rest in the shade.
We trekked up to First Arroyo, popped inside for a shade and water break, and then headed back. Several times both going and coming we saw jackrabbits, but the Heelers were not in the mood to pursue. Too hot.
Didn't see any other human outdoor enthusiasts while we were hiking, and there weren't any vehicles parked in the Tellbrook/Sonoma Ranch corner lot when we got back to the upper flatland.

Yucca stalk down

Interesting photo of the Yucca stalk lying on the ground. I like the different shades of brown.
