Century Plus Four

First 3:  Frio and Willow
Perhaps the weather app was shooting a little high, but we're supposed to reach 104F this afternoon.  It sure was hot as hell while Frio, Willow and I were trekking up to First Arroyo.

Along the way we bumped into a woman and a man hiking back to the upper flatland where they'd left their SUV parked in the middle of the dirt road we use to get to our parking spot.  I had to leave the CR-V at another place on the flatland road heading east.

After a brief respite inside First Arroyo, where we'd stopped for shade and water, we headed back for our vehicle, taking LDR-A into the upper flatland.  I had a little difficulty maneuvering the CR-V to get out of our precarious parking spot.

It's nice to see the bright green leaves on the Mesquite trees in the otherwise parched desert.
