Bugs R Back

Willow and Frio
We were aggravated as soon as we stepped out of the CR-V for our morning hike today; the bugs were swarming all over us making it difficult to enjoy the trek.

Pamela and Terry came up behind us while we were descending LDR-A, so we stopped to chat with them.  Pamela asked if I'd heard her scream the other day.  I hadn't.  Seems her first close encounter with a Western Diamondback scared the hell out of her because she nearly stepped on it.

They went on ahead of us, and we followed at a distance all the way up to Second Arroyo.  From there we bushwhacked over and through First Arroyo and up onto the ridge south of the arroyo.  We followed the ridge west and then descended back to LDR.  On reaching the road a slight breeze picked up, providing temporary relief from the omnipresent bugs.
