A Bit of Wandering

This & next:  Heelers leading the way
We did nearly the same hike again today as yesterday, but this morning we did a bit of exploring west of the left branch of the arroyo we've been trekking in recently.  We started up an ancillary arroyo, past some tall Ocotillos, and into another small arroyo all the while hunting for a cross trail that might lead back to the main right branch of the new arroyo.  We didn't find one.

Heading back down the left branch we turned south into the right branch and hiked up into the area where the arroyo has its head, searching while we did for a conspicuous path to the left branch.  We didn't see one, but I think I've noticed a way we might proceed in the near fture.

After a brief rest, Willow, Frio and I hiked up and then out of the arroyo on the steep hill that leads out to the upper flatland road, which we followed back to the CR-V.

I really like the photo where you used the dry brush filter.

The heelers are good pathfinders!
