Holy Day Trekkin'

A group of hikers striking for the mountaintop
Despite the bad weather there were a surprising number of people on and about the mountain this morning.  Becca and I got sprinkled on for most of the hike, but during the last mile we got rained upon.  We were both pretty wet by the time we reached the car.  Fortunately, only one of us had to deal with "wet dog" smell.  I'm sure "wet human" smell is just as offensive to members of the canine species.

I hope you left that beetle alone.

I've only ever seen pictures (and video) of the Pinacate Beetle. Thanks for sharing another really nice one.
