Thanksgiving-Day Hike

Young bull elk on our property
Becca woke us before dawn barking at a young bull elk in our yard.  (Images are bad due to poor light.)  After breakfast we did a hike on one of our favorite trails in the Sacramento Mountains, the Osha Trail.  The weather was perfect for moderately-strenuous mountain hiking:  50 degrees, sunny, with a substantial breeze.  When we got back to the cabin Becca's friends came to greet her.  On this Thanksgiving day we are thankful for family and friends and for the chance to enjoy the beauty of the natural world.  Happy Thanksgiving to all!
