Saturday's Desert Hike

Tortugas's rugged foothills
It was a beautiful, but slightly chilly morning for our hike around Tortugas Mountain.  Surprisingly, there were few people out and about.  We did see a couple of mountain bikers in the distance, but never got close to them--which was fine with Becca because she's very suspicious of mountain bikes.  We took a different route, passing by a large Barrel Cactus that I knew would eventually topple over, succumbing to its enormous weight.  Hated to see it fall, though.
