A Nice Breeze

5 stalks
64F at start today, but a cool breeze kept conditions nice; it was sunny and almost cloudless with a touch of higher humidity.

Heading down LDR-A arroyo--while both Willow and Frio were still on lead--we had a close encounter with a jackrabbit, and the "O"s made to run after it; of course they immediately experienced resistance.

While we ascended Right Branch Arroyo--both Heelers off lead--they spotted a fleeing jackrabbit and bolted after it.  Upon return they were roundly chastised and immediately put back on lead.  Months and months of training quickly go by the wayside when the dogs see a fleeing hare or rabbit.
