Exact Opposite

This and the next:  doing a little bushwhacking
This morning couldn't have been more different than yesterday; today there was sun and no wind.  Within a quarter mile of starting off I removed my ear band, and halfway through I peeled off a layer of outerwear.  By the time I ran into my pal Jimmy on the high foothills trail I was actually feeling warm.

He and I palavered about a wide range of topics, paying particular attention to the illnesses we've both experienced lately; we're each recovering from pretty bad colds.  We talked so long that I even got a call from Dr. K wondering if everything was all right; I'm usually not out there that long.  I reassured her it was just Jimmy and me losing track of time.

He and I parted company shortly thereafter and I made my way back to Whitey the CR-V.  For as nice as the weather was there weren't many outdoor enthusiasts on and about the mountain.

I like the photos of the javelina. We've been seeing more and more of them in the desert recently.
